Viaje 50/50 black..very unique

So I have been on a bit of a quest to find something truly different..now I rarely smoke NC's and when I do I want a robust/thick/or spicy smoke. It has been very difficult to find..I like uniqueness as well. I have found that Viaje has been a bit of a disappointment for me personally. The DES, shag foots, all the green label stuff did nothing for me and were a bit boring. The s&b was WAY too spicy and chemical tasting. So on a whim I bought the 50/50 black. I had the 50/50 red and didn't like it...the black is a different animal. the fisrt half is best described as a s&b without harshness (although very spicy, peppery) with an Illusione clean sweetness..I likes! the second half is like a spicy sweet and sour thai sauce (best I can describe)...really liked this stick..really liked it and is just what I was looking for (and more). Not the typical one dimensional NC that I encounter. Not to be missed.

I am flipped on the 50/50's. I really, really like the red, but I find the black a bit boring and I do not like the flavors.

I really like the red. I killed a box in a couple months and I'll get another one when my cash flow situation improves.

I haven't had a red yet, but I loved the blacks. Are the blacks still being made? I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

Bonita smoke shop's website said they had fivers in stock, but I just got off the phone with them & they only have one in stock...so I snagged that & 4 reds. Looking for more...

I got a local B&M here that still has several black 50/50 boxes. Going to go buy some this saturday. There Viaje stock just sits on their shelves forever. Nobody smokes them down here except for very few people. They still have aroudn 6-10 boxes of Viaje Summerfest Torps.

These are some of the best NC's I've smoked. I go for the red when I want something a bit less intense. The transitions never stop. Definitely unique.
