Okay so I have a few cc coming from a dear friend north of the border, care of his parent's yearly visit. I plan to have one or two and age the rest, since I probably will only get a small number. My question is for the veterans who seem to be getting boxes regularly with a bit of age already on them. Does that mean they are good to go or do you guys just keep that many cigars on hand that they can age even more?

Forgive my ignorance, my humi barely stays populated with my limited budget.

For me it would be if you are getting singles then let them rest to settle from the trip then smoke em. I don't age singles really and think
that yu really need to know if the sticks fit your profile enough to bother aging. All CC's can benefit from age but if you are not storing a lot of cigars I would not bother.

Let them re-humidify for 30 days and give one a try. If you like it them they are good to go. If not they may be in a sick period. Then I wouldn't smoke another for 6 months or so. If they are still bad? Wait another 3 months and try again. If they are still bad? Try another in 3 months or so. If they are still bad after that? They are probably just bad cigars and there isn't much you can do about it.

generally slender minor brand cc's are good to spark in 1-3mos. & aging thicker rings pays greater dividends. and the top picks are good fresh before going mute/
best bet... smoke em! theres plenty more where they came from!

It also depends on the cigars you get. You can smoke a trini robo t ROTT, but it's preferred to let cohiba robo rest for a couple years.

I would probably age them.

But I smoke a cigar.... quarterly or so, so mine tend to age anyway.

I disagree thin ring gauges really open up after a few Yeats flavor wise with thick cigars there's always a lit of flavor present up front ages generally refines it.
