Heading to Scottsdale at the end of June

My company is having a conference at the Firesky resort.

I did some checking and there seems to be two places that I can enjoy a cigar or two while I'm there and wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has been.

Talking Stick Resort and the Onyx bar at Four Seasons.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Both of those places will be high priced on anything you buy there. The Shadows lounge at Talking Stick is nice, there cigar selection is ok but VERY high on prices. The Onyx bar has no boutique lines of cigars, mostly Dominican Monte's and RyJ, some Mac and such (I know this because we are their supplier LOL).

If you are looking for a lounge to smoke and hang out with other cigar smokers, there are PLENTY of those here in Phoenix and the surrounding area. In Scottsdale the place to go would be Cigar King. Great selection, great price, great group of guys.

If you don't mind a 15-20 minute drive from Scottsdale, the shop I work at is called Fumar. We have one of the biggest, if not the biggest, lounge in AZ and I would love to meet and hang out with you. What days/nights are you in town and what time are you expecting to be out and about?

I also like Ambassador cigar (let me know if you decide to go there) and Magnum's (because of their wild scotch selection).

I arrive on Monday June 27th and leave that Thursday. I am waiting to see what my agenda is going to be, but I think I have to do a happy hour around 5 on Monday and we are going to be on our own for dinner. So probably Monday night would be good. I wont have a car so hopefully I can get a cab to take me where I need to go.

I would really like to meet up with some brothers if the opportunity is there.

I should know my agenda in the next week or two and will post that here. Lets see if we can get something going for sure.

Let's clarify, my shop prices are all MSRP nothing more. Resorts are a completely different story and they definitely mark up.

Fumars is a great place with a nice selection. It is a haul from Scottsdale. If you have a car well worth a trip.

Ha ha yes... I was just teasing. Fumar is a really cool spot... and as Brandon mentioned, they supply a lot of the resorts who aren't ashamed of marking things up. Fumar doesn't mark 'em up.
