My guess is that's it's more indirect than simply "tricking the system into thinking you're eating." More likely that the nicotine, which helps to relax, works through a specific part of the nervous system (parasympathetic, for you fellow science nerds). That system is responsible for relaxing, both emotionally and various muscles and organs throughout the body.

So, if you've, uh... got one in the chamber, so to speak, perhaps that's why you have to... well, shit. That's never happened to me, before... Same thing for the "hangover" thing, both booze and stogies work on the brain, so effectively you "had one too many." That one hasn't happened to me before, either. Although I did take a wicked ass-kicking from a Man O War Ruination once. And loved it.

But meh, I'm just a science undergrad, I could be completely wrong. At least it sounds good, yeah?

On a serious note, does anyone else get headaches from cigar smoking. I'm a noob, and I can get away with one smoke without it affecting me, but two or three times now I've smoked two cigars back to back (usually at a tasting) and the next morning I literally feel hung over. Anyone???
