More often than not, I find that my palate picks up the first few draws, and then those flavors just stick. Sometimes I get a hint of something else, but usually it's just the same old thing.

Normally, I would drink water with my smoke, but is there anything else that would really cleanse my palate?

Thanks guys

I find coffee really works with some lighter smokes. Whiskey with ligero bombs. Cream soda for some reason goes great with certain cubans. I find most cigars though are pretty steady flavor wise with gradual changes as they progress.

Whiskey/scotch/bourbon/rye/rum/hard alcohol straight is a pallet cleanser. You might try some lemon juice in your water as well because that scrubs the mouth very well.
If you are ok with eating things while you smoke, chew on a few almonds every 15-20 minutes just to help clear things up, as almonds do a good job as well. Now I am talking raw almonds, not flavored or smoked or de-skinned.
Most of the time, you don't get a massive change in flavors, but some sticks are a deffinitive progression throughout the cigar. I have found that with time/frequency and amount of smoking that I have learned to taste differences in cigars. I am by no means a professiona or claim that I can pick everything out, but I am gaining in experience and that counts for a lot here.

Im with you on the Cream Soda*** Try A&W Sparkling Vanilla Cream Soda it contains no A&W rootbeer whatsoever, and its good like that. the Vanilla soda burn off,, goes super fine with cigars and just gives that killer flavor to the next puff off most anything like,, a My Father of any type smaller ring guage cedros deluxe, or a Tatuaje petite cazadores, or Tat regios,, wow** way way to nice*****:stretchgr

Lemon flavored seltzer I find is perfect with cigars, its refreshing and seems to do a good job keeping the palette fresh.

Really depends on what you're smoking. Some cigars just don't have a lot of change from first third to last. This can be a good thing or a bad thing...

Anejo's, My Fathers, and Ashton VSG's aren't good enough? lol

It's happened to me with all three, just off of the top of my head.
Well..thoes are real good cigars! Maybe it's because your smoking a solid full stick. Try a medium blend cigar as it may help your pallet. It's hard to find a cigar other than a cc that has strong suttle changes. If you can't find something that suits your pallet in a medium range try cheese or chocolat to help the pallet revive. Both work well for me.
