Dan absolutely ships to APOs, Gene! NO worries there. Honestly, pretty much anyone who will ship USPS will ship to APOs. Famous will screw you out of their "free shipping" offers because that is with UPS, but they'll still ship to you USPS, you just have to pay a bit extra. CI, however, WILL ship to APOs for free still when they have free shipping offers (like the Joe's Daily Deal, and what not). I think CI is the best all-around or troop support Nice Ash, Smoke Inn, heck most of the US distributors will ship to APOs.

As far as "other" suppliers, feel free to PM me.

But overall, it's been much better than I thought it would be. You just have to ask people to package everything extra well (I do this for shop/website purchases as well as individual) and for individuals I ask them to include a Boveda mini-pack if they happen to have one, as you never know if a pacakge will take a week or FOUR weeks!

taking a job with a gov't contractor to do HAZMAT work, which is what i know best. going in on a 1 yr contract with 30 days of R&R so i plan to pull 90 day shifts with 10 days home for a year. the pay is ridiculous and it will put my wife and i in a beautiful financial position.

the restaurant took an unexpected turn with our landlords. long story short they evicted us without any notice and against all our contractual agreements and we have summarily slapped them with a large 7 $ figure lawsuit.

have a friend who does the same hazamat work and he forwarded a job opportunity to me, i gave them my resume, talked to them on the phone and they offered me a position. all within 5 hours of the time my buddy told me about the position.

I use cbid and ci with no issues here, I have also used bestcigarprices, but the name is ironic, because they're the most expensive site I've found. Any ideas what area you'll be working?

I am glad to hear that you will be in a better financial situation.

That is BS what they did to your restaurant. I loved smoking and eating there. I sure hope that you win.

I haven't had any issues with cigars coming here to Afghanistan. Just print out a copy of the policy about mailing cigars and keep it with you because the "postal workers" occasionally imagine the no cigarettes rule applies to cigars. It doesnt. I have ordered from CI, cigars.com and cbid while here but the best packages have been from dan at newhavana and Tim at burningleaf. Their packaging has been the best for the long hot trip here. If I rememeber correctly CI doesnt put humidipack in their shipments which from now until winter hits is an absolute must.

STOCK UP ON what ever humidification source you use. It sucks to be caught without it. No chance of getting distilled water here. Depending on where you are going they should have a good amount of jcnewman line up but some PXs dont even have them in a "humidor". I use quotes because their is no humidification in those big ass display humidors.

If I were you, I would pimp out a coolerdor now and have it shipped after I arrived.
Any questions just ask me. I'm here for another 20 days then I can put this shithole behind me. Not one good thing about this place.

Distilled water is easy to come by here. Just talk to the mechanics.

You stay safe there. If they try to stick you somewhere where you feel uncomfortable tell them to shove the job. It's not worth your well being/life.

On a happier note while I was at an APO I never had a problem getting smokes. I used NHC and Cbid (only for full boxes) on occasion.

Bro you can setup a FPO/APO shipper to act as the middle man, I've done it each time I've been overseas and haven't encountered an issue or anything they won't ship. Flat screens, computers, cigars you name it...If you need anything let me know I've got access to all the military bases in Virginia.
