I have a Satori that has sustained some serious wrapper damage...

Looks kinda like it got hit by a truck :hanghead:. Haven't treated it any different than my other cigars :dunno:. Was thinking of chucking it cause even if I pectin the crap out of it I don't think it'll smoke very well...will it :scratchhe? But then I thought why not try my hand at re-wrapping it :dunno:. Kind of a cool project and worst comes to worst it gets tossed anyway. So I'm looking for some advice on what wrapper you think would go nice with this cigar (haven't smoked any so have no personal experience). I'm kind of hesitant at sacrificing anything too nice so maybe any sources for some nice wrapper leaf would be handy also (scoured the "roll your own" threads and didn't find much that I thought would be good).

That is far from beyond fixing, my friend! I mean, it sucks and I'm sorry, but all you need is some veggie pectin and that thing will smoke just fine with it's current wrapper. In fact, you might not even notice the difference!

If you can't find any at the local garden store, then you can just get "Cigar Glue" which is what I use ... much pricier for the same product, but it does have a nice applicator and I like the Heartfelt guys :)

I've fixed a number of cigars that I thought for sure were WAY behond saving ... I mean completely trashed Tat Westies and such. It may take a little time and patience, but for someone in your field I'm sure you're up for it. It will likely take several applications to get it to hold up, but pectin dries extremely quickly.

I find that tucking the applicator under the tear (just a little, soas not to tear the wrapper too much more) works well. Try to get pectin on both sides and then press/roll it gently down. Seriously, it works like magic :)
