Hey guys,

Doing a 'guys trip' next month with some friends and we'll be camping here:

http://www.edgeodells.com/modules/web/index.php/id/6

Place is NUTS! 21 and up to stay there.....NO KIDS! 3 or 4 bars on site and one of Wisconsins biggest titty bars directly across the highway. ALWAYS a good time :)

Anyways, weather will be in the 80's or 90's with high humidity. Will have my 18 count packed w/beads, but I'm concerned about the temp. No camper w/AC, just some tents.

Any suggestions? Keep the case in one of our coolers?

If you are that worried (I wouldnt be if its only 2 or 3 days) I would buy a small cooler your 18ct would fit into and just throw one of those gel ice packs in it. Should keep everything at a nice relatively constant temp.

I've been camping many times with an 18 ct and never had an issue and in TX it get much hotter than that, everything tasted great and the Scotch made it better.

Talk to a local establishment and throw them some cash to hold them for you in the correct climate. I'm sure someone has a/c

just keep them in the shade.. no worries. I've taken my 15 count on many a trip and everything smoked great. The cooler idea with the gel pack sounds good too.

Have a ball!

I live in AZ and go to our local lakes in the summer pretty regular or down into the sand dunes in S. Cali and I've never had an issue. I've never had an issue with them being too hot and not smoking well. They've always smoked great.

I really wouldn't worry about it for a weekend trip dude. Remember where these come from - a lot more tropical than Wisconsin!

Enjoy the trip though - it looks like a blast!

This. Try not to take a ton more than you need, but really this won't cause any major issues. If you are concerned and manage to bring back a good number of sticks, just isolate them for a few weeks to make sure there are no problems (assuming you are worried about beetles).

I like this Idea. I know it sounds bad but I always have some emergency sticks in my trunk and they never stay there for more the a week or 2 but temps can spike quite high and have never really had any issues. They don't go back into my main humi's after that and even tho they may not be in perfect smoking shape they stay in pretty good shape and have had no real issues from it.

I've carried cigars in my ruck throughout the Amazon River Basin.

You shouldn't have ANY problems on a "weekend getaway"!

When I read this I laughed (emergency?!) but I feel you man... you never know when the mood is gonna strike. That's why I love my 2 stick caddy! :ccowboy:

I keep emergency sticks in a 5 ct as well. My only rule is they don't go back in the humi. As far as smoking I never notice any side affects of heat. (I also bring em out of the car most nights.

Jeff with all the travel I do in the southwest I keep a cooler in my car in the summer and just keep a ice gel pack in it with my travel humis. Keeps the temp good and then I am not stressed when the car is 120 degrees and this keeps me from having any issues. I just take the cooler into the hotel with me at night and refreeze the icepack. But I also do not think you are going to have problems if its just for a day or 2 as Brandon said its not a problem and we live in Phoenix.
