WEST GOSHEN, Pa. -- Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of the TV and movie series "Jackass," was killed early Monday in a single-car accident in Pennsylvania. He was 34 years old.

"Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn," said "Jackass" star and co-creator Johnny Knoxville on Twitter after news of Dunn's death broke. "RIP Ryan, I love you buddy."

Police said Dunn crashed his 2007 Porsche while driving in West Goshen, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) west of Philadelphia, at 2:38am Monday, TMZ reported.

Dunn and his passenger, who has not yet been identified, "died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident," according to police.

So bummed at this. I just recorded Jackass 3.5 last night. I know some of the older crowd here may think they were all Jackasses and bad people to begin with , but these guys are one of the tightest groups of friends I have ever seen. There is just no way you could get away with the stuff they did to each other, if you weren't.

coin flips to the other side.

Ryan Dunn, You are a fuggin a$$hole. You not only killed a friend, but endangered everyone else on the road last night. You have left a hole in your friend's lives, and have left your fans saddened.

Rest In Peace. I'm still sad

It's a shame but I can't say I'm saddened by it.

Me and my boys watched 3.5 the other night on TV and laughed our asses off. To bad he thought he was above it all, or just to dumb to realize what he was doing. But as the saying goes, live by the sword...

At least no others were injured due to their stupidity, at least physically.

He has dodged 10000 bullets...it is a very sad day but have been waiting for a day like this to come from one of them. Always thought it would be with them filming something....

He seemed like one of the most genuine poople on all of his air time and am bummed to see him go. Sad that a life other than his own had to be taken too...thoughts and prayers with his family and friends!

It's sad that he's gone but it was by his own hand. You roll the dice long enough eventually it will come up snake eyes. Will people ever learn not to drink and drive, not only do they put their lives at risk but the lives of everyone on the road.

I remember watching these guys pre jackass when they were kids doing the CKY stuff. Ryan was my favorite closely followed by Chris Raab.

This.

it's still unclear who was driving and I'm not sure we'll ever know. My bet is that they were all equally drunk &/or high. I've never been half sober and climbed in a vehicle w/ someone that drank more than me.

Nobody is bullet proof and the sad thing is he and the rest of his friends live that kind of life. Drinking and driving ( which is still under investigation ) is most likely what happened and impaired judgement while driving a high performance car as one of them was is a recipe for disaster.

I liked the movies and watching all of these guys do their 'schtick' but what goes along with it is that attitude of being able to do anything they like without consequences...this is the kind of thing that is permanent when you screw up. He had a lot of friends and to disparage somebody that age who probably had a ton of potential is really a sad thing. All of us make mistakes...his mistake is permanent. Hopefully his friends will learn something from it.
