I have begun keeping my cigars at the office due to better temp conditions. My home gets quite warm during these warm summer months in SW fla and it is not suitable for cigar storage. Is it ok to keep cigars in ziplocs with a boveda indefinitely? My humidors are stuffed and I do not want to buy another one right now. I got a great deal on Boveda 69% packs.

Thanks.

If I were you, I would pick up a cooler that would be your ideal size or a tupperware container that will fit in your office. Cooler is better than tupperware as it helps regulate the temperature, but both will work for what you need.

As others have said, Ziplok + Boveda is fine. But as also has been suggested, a Tupperware container would be only marginally more expensive, but would provide substantially more protection. FWIW.

What you could do if you are worried about protection, or keeping them out of direct light, you could always toss the ziploc in an empty cigar box... I usually do that because I haven't shelled out the cash for a travel-a-dor.

Thanks all. I keep the cigars in a credenza out of light. I think the Tupperware is an interesting idea. I have some extra cedar to put in it.

Tupperware ( Tupperadors ) are indeed a viable source to keep cigars in. What you need to know is that tupperware will work better if you put cedar sheets on the bottom which will help in regulating RH if you decide to leave them in there for any time frame. I have about 8 Tupperadors and they keep perfect RH as long as I keep cedar in there and I use the rectangular credos filled with KL...stays at a constant 65%.
