I found out last night I will be heading to Boston the first week in August for a 3 day weekend. My friend has tickets to two games in this series. Not only will I get to see Fenway for the first time but I will get to watch the best regular season series in baseball.

We will be in Boston August 4th and leaving August 5th and leaving on the 7th if there is anybody that would like to meet for a cigar.

Enjoy!

There are lots of places around the park to go drinking.
If you like local microbrews, Boston Beer Works is your place to go.

Otherwise any of the bars around the park will do.

I suggest Jerry Remy's. Its big, and its a good place to watch pre game festivities.

Cigar Masters and G street are about a 1/2 mile to 3/4 mile walk away.

I am definitely taking a tour of Sam Adams. I will definitely have to stop at Boston Beer Works. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thursday nights I'm in town at Stanza Dei Sigari (the day you arrive) so if you aren't exhausted and feel like a cab ride over to Hanover St let me know before hand and we could meet. Enjoy the games you lucky....

My friend, who runs his family's archery business became friends with a player on the Sox so he was able to get tix from him for two games. We will probably meet him out for dinner one of the nights we are there. I am just fortunate he asked me to go with him. The only rule, I can't have any tequilla as I typically do very stupid things when drinking it.

Sam Adams is almost directly across from Cigar Masters.

(Dont plan on bringing cigars into cigar masters, theyll hit you with a cutting fee).

Must be the fact that I am from a small town but I never heard of a cutting fee before. I usually will buy a cigar from a cigar shop that I am visiting anyways.

I always buy at the B&M/lounge when Im visiting also.

But if you buy1 / smoke 1 and it isnt the one you bought they will hit you with the fee.

They want you smoking and buying their stuff. I just dont want you to be surprised as this sometimes puts people off.

I always buy at the B&M im at. But I dont always smoke what i pick up there.

Sometimes Ill buy a few at the B&M/lounge. Smoke one I bought and smoke one I brought.

Thanks I didn't realize that. I figured if I bought a couple cigars they would forgo the cutting fee.

Yeah, it has to do with the way boston is attacking cigar lounges. A certain percentage of their revenue has to come from the sale of tobacco products or so i'm told: cigars & hookah not booze. I buy alot of cigars from Stanza, but as I'm a member there with a locker I get to avoid cutting fees on my personal stash.

Things like this don't bother me at all. I look at it from the point of view that it's not my store and I have to believe that most store owners are looking to survive, not gouge their customers.

Does Stanza charge to smoke in their shop if you aren't a member?

They only charge you for the cigar or hookah, like everywhere else, unless you bring your own cigars. Then i believe there is a $5 cutting fee that will be on your bill.

The Cask is still a good time to IMO.
