Hello all -

I have 3 humi's. 1 @80 count 1@50-60 count and 1 @25 count. All three are filled to capacity.

One humi has 2 boxes of NC's and NC singles. The other is filled with 3/10/12/25 ct packs/boxes of CC's and the smallest humi is nothing but CC singles.

To help with the overcrowding when I remove a cigar from a box I will replace that cigar with some misc. single of similar size. This really helps my lack of space. I don't mix the CC's and NC's.

Can anyone propose a reason to not do this? It really helps on space not to have a half empty box sitting in the humi.

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it. Some people don't like to have cigars mingling with others, but I've found most people on here do it. I do it. Doesn't seem to affect them. If I were doing long-term aging, though, say 5 to 10 years, then I'd probably only keep the same together.

You store boxes in your desktops? Or did I misread that...
Yeah, I'm confused based on your descriptions.
Hello, no you did not misread. The smaller humi has just two ten count boxes and the rest is just singles. The larger humi has boxes in it. They actually fit very nice.

Is it odd to put boxes in them. The larger humi is kinda big, not sure if you would want it on your desk.

Hey Justin, first the DFH confusion and now boxes in desktops, I'm on a roll, LOL....

I guess I don't see any real problem with it, but I think you are wasting more space storing the boxes in the humidors than you are saving by replacing sticks you take out with singles. I would store the boxes themselves in tupper'dors and leave your humidors for singles. But that's just me.

Yeah, if it was me I would just put the sticks in the humidor without the boxes. It will save you a ton of space. There are really no benefits to keeping them in boxes and there is nothing wrong with storing different types of sticks together unless they are infused.

You can always get empty boxes from your B&M and upgrade to a 48qt. Cooler. If you are afraid that your cigars will homogenize, they won't.

to answer your question nothing wrong with what you are doing but yeah take out the boxes any you'll free alot of space up. If you like storing em boxes then i second the idea of getting a cooler and storing your smoke inside their.
