Man who here saw it? If you didn't you missed one of the most dramatic games I've seen in a long time. USA beats Brazil 5-4 in penalty shootout. This after going a man down in the 66th minute.

I'm not one for conspiracies but someone has to talk these officials and make sure they don't work any other games, some really bad calls made against USA.

One of the most dramatic matches I've seen in my life men or women. Abby Wamabachs goal in the 121st minute was fantastic. The refs were against the US from the start yet they prevailed in the most dramatic fashion. Sick match!

What a game. I wanted to look away a few times. I just hope the US win doesn't overshadow the fact that FIFA needs ref reform. One of the worst called games I've seen in a while.

I love footy, but can't stomach the woman's game... the flow seems more driect/back'n'forth where-as the men play with more positioning and strategy... that said, I am sorry I missed this match after reading these posts.

I can't agree more. This was a great outcome for the US, but one of the worst called games I have seen. There is a dire need for ref reform!

Actually the womens game has gotten better. The US keeper is incredible. The Japan/Germany game on Saturday was as technically exciting (only true soccer fans can grasp what that means, lol) as they can get.

I almost turned it off in disgust many times. Those jokes and so one sided. Calling off sides on the US when they were even yet letting a BLATANT off sides by the Brazillians that lead to a goal go. And the penalty kick call on the keeper being offer her line? Give me a break.

It was funny how the crowd seemed to turn so pro US, lol.

I was right there with you,I walked out of the room for a while. i loved it when the crowd started booing marta everytime she touched the ball. You could just tell the crowd didn't want to see the US cheated out of victory. FIFA has to something about officiating

I watched the first US game of the world cup and was pretty bored actually. Reminded me of watching the WNBA before, just not the same as the men's and was pretty boring. However, I did want to watch the remaining cup but when the weather is nice here in Seattle, I got to get out and enjoy it and missed the last couple games. I just caught the shootout/penalty kicks of this game and missed the dramatics... wished I would've seen the whole game. AMAZING goal at 122 minutes!

I hear what you're saying about the women's game vs. The mens but I can honestly say I think the US women's team can beat the men's team based on the desire and fight in them alone. That pride is something I havent seen from the men's team almost ever.
