Well first I am new to the forum, so I hope this is the place to ask this.

I am wanting to line a cabinet that I made with Spanish cedar and make it into a humidor. Can I use glue to attach the wood or do I need to nail it down?

Thanks
Shawn

I would think either or would be fine, but my preference would be for some sort of adhesive...if it were my project. Just make sure to let it air out sufficiently.

I thought so too, but I just wanted to ask anyone else.

Do you think veneer is fine or go with .25" think panels

The lining of the humidor usually isn't nailed or glued. It just fits together. It needs to be able to expand and contact with the humidity.

Veneer on plywood would be better if you are going to glue it because it will be more dimensionally stable.

if using veneer use a spray adhesive to put it on. If using dimensional wood I would think depending on the size of the cab you can cut it to fit. In my humidor I had to nail there was really no other option.

i used a contact adhesive with a veneer roller. Came out very well.

First attempt was a heat sensitive glue sheet and it was rubbish.
