Hello,

So I've been smoking cigars for close to 10 years. I'm not really cigar smart, I usually buy from cigars international because all of the smoke shops around here are garbage to say the least..

My typical smoke is something 5 vegas (i know most people hate them) or ghurka (only the centurions) and other randoms I pick up. My personal favorite cigar is a Rocky Patel sungrown.

I recently ordered some Bahia (orange label) And i love them (and their cheap as dirt)

But I'm ready to step up my game, I'm fairly cheap. But I want to expand my horizons. Edgumacate me! I like a medium-full body. I've tried sorting through the forum various times but always get over whelmed.

Welcome to BOTL from a fellow Iowan (originally from Des Moines). Try as many cigars as possible...everyone's taste is different. However, I would recommend Fuente, Padron (love the 3000 Maduro), Tatuaje (don't forget Cabaiguan/La Riqueza/El Triunfador), Illusione, Don Pepin/My Father, just to name a few.

good info, im not familiar with "devil" auction sites.

Yes our weather blows giant (insert animal) ass.

I've had a couple mentioned Fuente in particular. But like i said this is Iowa smoke shop humidors are god awful, and it was prior to me knowing how much proper humidity was crutial to good cigars.

+1 on this, if you like the med-full stuff with a little spicy/peppery profile, those are the way to go. I would also add LFD and EPC to that list.

This has been covered manytimes in many different threads. You'll see certain sticks keep getting mentiond. Diesl, ManOWar, Padron, etc. I say pick a list and start from there. Also always be on the lookout for sales sometimes "pricey" cigars can be found at good prices. To answer your question I'd say the Perdomo Lot 23 and Oliva V Lanceros are two of the best.

your goto inexpensive smoke
I've pretty much smoked all of those, looking for something a tad more exotic.

Hello from a native Iowan, as well! From West Des Moines. I'd check out some of the Padron x000 series. I know the 3000s go for about $3-4 a stick and they're amazing.
