Russian navy captures somali pirates

The Russians captured the Pirates, tied them up, put them on the boats, then set them all on fire - puff no more Pirates!
This video shows Russian Navy commandos on a Somalian pirate ship shortly after the pirates had captured a Russian oil tanker. The Euro Union Navy that patrols these waters would not interfere because they feared there could be casualties.

All explanations are in Russian with a single exception of when a wounded pirate says something in English and the Russian soldier says "This is not a fishing boat". All conversations between the commandos are in Russian. If you don't understand Russian, the pictures speak for themselves.

The soldiers freed their compatriots and the tanker. The Russian Navy Commandos moved the pirates back to their own (pirate) ship, searched the pirate ship for weapons and explosives and then they left the ship and exploded it with all remaining pirates hand-cuffed to it.

The commandos sank the pirate ship along with the pirates and without any court proceedings, lawyers etc. That is, they used the anti-piracy laws of the 18th and 19th centuries where the captain of the rescuing ship has the right to decide what to do with the pirates. Usually, they were hanged. (Justice delayed is justice denied.)

I would think from now on, Russian ships will be unlikely be targets for Somali pirates.

Proof that the Russians are not to be fucked with. Those pirates aren't going to be telling anyone but the fishies, and it looks like subtlety wasn't their intention.

Yep...this is exactly what the U.S. should be doing as well. Scare tactics is what they use against us, so brutal force is what we should use against them. Ofcourse I have to hand it to the Navy Seals and there head shots!

From what I got from it the pirates were put on inflatables and set adrift prior to destroying the vessel and these guys were actually Russian mercenaries working for the shipping companies. No matter, the message sent was righteous!

Where do you guys get the impression that the captives were killed? The uploader's comment translates as:

True, Keep in mind Seal team six went in and took OBl pretty quickly. Our boy's can get the job done better than any other country out there. We're just quite about it. The Russian just don't give a shit which is pretty bad ass.

Pretty accurate. Rules in Warfare? Really? Reminds me of Pattons Speech when he told the troops the way you win a war is by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country. That's the only rule that really applies.
