and I mean only pocket carry?

If so, what do you carry? what kind of pocket holster? and do you pocket carry 100% of the time?

for me, I pocket carry only. I am always in shorts and a t shirt, so pocket carry is the way to go.

I carry a Seecamp 32. I also have a Keltec 32, but the Seecamp is what I rely on

my holster is an Uncle Mikes #1

and I carry 100% of the time, unless prohibited by law. so unless I am on Jury duty, I am carrying.

Same holster, SIG P380

carry this way in shorts, which is most of the summer.

I can't even stand having my keys in my pocket. No way would I be able to get away with a gun + holster in my pocket. Crossbreed supertuck is on its way though :)

Carry? For what? Am I missing something? Don't know anybody that carries personally and that includes friends and family in law enforcement. Well they don't carry outside of work on their body for no reason atleast. Its a real question I have though. Enlighten me please.

I know where this could be headed but I will give you the benefit of the doubt and answer your question. People carry because bad guys do. It helps to even out the odds. I do not carry as I live in LA and am unable to. If I lived outside of CA I most definatley would.

As previously states plus a few other reasons/cliches

When you need help a cop is only minutes away

Police, at least in Ohio, are not charged with protecting the population, they are there to enforce the laws. They have not duty to protect.

I would rather have a means to protect me and my family, rather to have needed a means to protect me and my family

And finally, because it is my right and does not harm anyone....

Now, some say the chance of needing a gun is small, and they are correct, but so are the odds my kitchen will catch on fire or my house, yet I have a fire extinguisher, insurance, and a fire ladder for the kids.

Take a browse through some of the other threads in the Firearms subforum. You'll find that carrying a concealed firearm is a lot more common (at least among BOTLers) than you might expect. Everyone that is doing so is doing so within their rights so if you are against weapons, please don't start up any direct attacks (I'm not say you are or would do so, just a friendly reminder :) )

I am in Law Enforcement and I don't go anywhere without a weapon. In fact my Sheriff better not catch a deputy with out a weapon on them when they are off duty.

I wear an ankle holster when I'm wearing shorts. Just joking (as if I needed to say I was joking). I do use an ankle holster though and I like it. Getting back to the original topic I have never carried in the pocket. Just seems too uncomfortable. Whatever way you carry make sure you can access it when you have to. The ankle holster can be tricky because you'll have to bend down or lift your leg (sounds like a dog peeing). If I can offer some advice that is very important it would be to always carry the same way in the same place. In other words, if you carry in the pocket always carry in the pocket. If you carry in a small of the back (SOB), then always carry it there. The reason for this is because when the shit hits the fan and your stress level is way up you will react how your brain is trained and you will instinctually reach to where you are used to reaching. Hope this makes sense. Didn't mean to hijack the thread btw.

S&W 380 Bodyguard in Uncle Mikes pouch. Either in front pocket or back pocket depending on what I am wearing... Always carry when I have my family with me. When I am by myself I can run away but with two kids it is not an option.

I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop.

To the OP ... I pocket carry a keltec pa3t all summer. Switch to glock 27 in the winter.

I don't pocket carry but I carry a SW MP9c on my right hip in a tuck-able Comptec Minotaur holster.

Why? I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Shit hits the fan you can't ask them to wait for the cops to arrive that are 6 minutes out. And I've never known a LEO that didn't carry off duty.

I have this discussion w/ my family all the time. Some thinking I live in fear. I don't, I live prepared. You have car insurance and wear your seat belt, yet when was the last time you were in an accident? They're called accidents for a reason. If I knew when an idiot may appear I would only need to carry on that day. :)

Perfectly put. IMO if you only carry for protection then by all means. Keep it concealed though, some people get really nervous if they see or think they see a firearm on someone not LEO or military.

On a slightly different note though, I stick with an XD9. I'm not truly convinced that a .380 can do the proper job vs. A winter coat. By do the job, I don't mean kill, I mean give myself the best opportunity at defending myself.

I'm exclusively pocket carry. Kel-tec P3AT (sorry Ron, couldn't find any .32's locally and didn't want to wait) in a no-name leather pocket holster with a square front to prevent "printing" on the pocket. I carry only when I am out at night, but never when I plan to have any more alcohol than I would drink if I were driving.

A 19 seems a little big to pocket carry, but to each his own. I wouldn't pocket carry my 19 a G26 maybe.

Pocket carry and belt slide. Right now a Kel-Tec P11. Did a reliability job on it and have 1,000+ rounds through it without a single malfunction and can carry it comfortably. Will be looking for something else soon though but staying with the 9mm. If I want something bigger I’ll carry my .45 (just not pocket).
I pocket carry about 50% of the time with a custom made holster. The nice thing about pocket carry is that you can just be standing there with your hands in your pockets and have your hand on the gun looking casual ready to go if needed rather than telegraphing your move going for the gun on the hip.
