C'mon Jose, I'm a Yankees fan so in order to empathize with Mets fans I have to root for the Jets. How else could I possibly know what disappointment feels like? :pokemyeye

Dont know how I feel about the Bush trade. Guess we'll see what we gave up. Any more then a 3rd, and I'll shit myself. Too one dimensional. Pretty much a return guy only. They still need another go to guy.
As a Saints fan, I'd be ecstatic with a 3rd. Reggie was an enigma here in New Orleans. A guy who never fully lived up to the hype, but had the potential to be explosive every time he touched the ball. You guys are getting a hell of a player, if he can stay healthy, and a true stand-up guy!

When we traded back up into the 1st round of the draft to get Mark Ingram, you could start to see the writing on the wall for Reggie. A big part of me was hoping he'd restructure and stay in New Orleans.

Haynesworth will be another case like Randy Moss. Belichick will break him and keep him in line. He's a good pick up to improve what was a terrible defensive squad last year.

As a return guy, he'll be the guy we never had. As a third down back, he'll cause havoc, and as a slot guy, the phins can do a lot with him. Great short yardage guy with a possibility to take it to the house every time.
Take it form a Die Hard that we'll miss Reggie for sure. I mean yes he's become injury prone and he's not an every down back, but Drew Brees has been bailed out by Reggie more than once.

With that said a third rounder for Reggie I will freaking go crazy, but more realistically we're getting a fourth or fifth.

I wish him well!!:waving::waving::waving:

his only TWO healthy seasons led to a NFC Championship game and a Superbowl win... I think he was well worth the #2 pick and all the premaddona stuff... Saints will miss him BIG TIME

Hawks have signed

WR Sidney Rice, OG Robert Gallery, QB Tavaris Jackson

Are close to re-signing DT Brandon Mebane

Hawks got a hell of a player in Rice but they will choke with T-Jack. He was never liked in Minnesota and if it wasn't for Childress protecting him he would have been gone a long time ago. I would take an aging Hasselback any day over him, talk about a downgrade.

Ah, cmon! Just some friendly ribbing amongst friends! I will say though, the jets fans are classic. Have one buddy who's saying they're going all the way this year for sure, he's positive. I had to remind him that he s been saying it since the Chad era and that the Giants have been to 2 Superbowl within that time, and that I've witnessed all 4 of the super bowl appearances and I'm only 32.
To clarify, I don't hate the jets per se, u just hate they're fans....most of them at least.

I know, I wouldn't have expected it was anything other than that. Besides I only threw that out to illicit responses. I have bigger NFL concerns than them right now, fantasy football is gonna be a crap shoot this year, I need to start figuring out which late season standouts from last year are the real deal.

The reason why the Hawks have been targeting Viking players is because they now have their old offensive cordinator.

I'm expexting them to go after some defensive guys now. Rumor has it they are after CB Joseph of the Bengals and LB Tokeo Spikes last team I remember him with was the Bills.

This is both sad....and from what I've seen of Jackson thus far......true. And that's coming from someone who can't STAND Matt H. I was over him 2-3 seasons ago.....but there he was, every year, back at QB.

Not sure Jackson would come in and be the starter..maybe he would over Whitehurst, as that kid isn't franchise QB material IMO.

Love the fact we got Rice, but now we need a QB that can throw him the rock down the field and let him go chase it.

Is Dante Culpepper still around?? :nodlaugh:

You can't have Dante Culpepper, we are having too much fun watching him play football for the Sacramento minor league team Mountain Lions. Hell we even got Denny Green as our coach!

I LOVE this pickup.
Another beast on the D Line.
Now that pats have 2 ++ guys on the line with Wilfork and Haynesworth.
Add in a healthy Warren and this front line looks GREAT.
Who needs cornerbacks when your d line will be on the QB!

From what I understand you guys have some bad playing turf, so good luck with all of that.
