If you were planning to purchase a CAB of 50 for once a year smoking on your birthday what would it be?
It would need to be under $1K for the CAB

Currently leaning towards Partigas Lusi's, but open to suggestions.

THanks in advance for your input

I doubt any current Habanos have the legs to go 50 years. You might want to look into an old cab of Punch SS#2.

......unfortunately your right. A cab of ss#2 might break the 1k ceiling. How about Hoyo des dieux.

Des Deux is a great option if you need a 50-cab ... but if you're really only doing 1 a year, then a 25-count might be a better option. Or two 25-counts ... might as well have 2 cigars to celebrate your birthday :) If that's the case, the Des Deux is still a good option, as would be the Bolivar Corona Extra or maybe the Sir Winston (never had one, but I know lots of guys love them).

I would think something in the Boli line would hold better for that long.

I'm a big Cohiba fan when you can wait for them to age, but I don't know how they would be at 50.

Corona Extra. Cracked a cab of 2005s this year. Amazing creaminess to the smoke. Won't break the bank either.

I did this exact same thing last year for my Bday and got a 09 Cab of Party Lusi's. They already show great promise IMO. I spent right around 620 US but they can be had for well under that. I just hand picked my box(graded) from a certain vendor and it cost me a little more to do so. Only difference is I am smoking about 2 a year right now. If they hit a stride in a few years they'll get smoked more often. Happy bday to me lol.

I don't think you could go wrong with a 50ct cab of SLR DC's

While they don't come in a 50ct cab. I'd be tempted to get 2) 25ct cab's of Upmann Sir Winstons.
