I think the Tat Black blend is one of the best blends around. I have smoking a bunch of the Tat Blacks that I had from several show 3-packs, and they are all firing on all cylinders. They have a rare and unique flavor to them, that is something I personally find to be excellent. Unfortunately I was unable to get the pettite lanceros upon their first release, but I am looking to get a box on the next go around. My recommendation is to buy them all and as many as you can. They do not disappoint. As far as the tubes go, I have smoked a few and they were nice. I should smoke one soon to compare to the two I had last week.

Funny, I never saw this thread, and posted a thread on another forum back in May called "Tat Black Tubo - the time is Now".

I think they're very good and getting better. Although I have to admit that a lot of my friends disagree and still think the wrapper is made of asbestos. Lol.

I'm still on the fence with both Tubos. I just think something is missing from both of these cigars. I can't put my finger on it, but I'll keep resting them and fire one up from time to time. I will say they do taste a little better from when they first came out...so time has been kind to them.

+2 on that. Smoked a black last night, great flavors but the burn was still off and when I would re light the foot would catch fire. I have never seen that before, weird. The flavor was there but really watered down. It's not a bad cigar just not as good as it should be.

I think that apart from the need to age them so long, the Blacks were pretty good. Yes the blend comes off a bit different in that large ring, but it's still a "Tat Black."

I can't say the same for the red tubo. The blend is way off, the construction was as bad as a Habano, and the things didn't burn right even when they didn't split. Just duds, imvho. But hey, it was bound to happen sooner or later. For those that like them, I"m happy for you!
