So I am looking to go this route as my custom humi that I received about two months back is being returned.

My questions:

Is sealing the drawers better then open drawers?

Has anyone installed humidification system in a Vine temp set up?

When installing fans on timers do you drill a hole and seal after running the power wire?

Does anyone have pictures of the above set ups detailing what has been done in the areas I have questions in?

Anyone with condensation tube routed to electric humidifaction like Avallo Accumonitor?

I read on the forum (I think this forum) someone using electic control humidfaction and beads to balance each other. Anyone else doing this? If so what are you thoughts.

My goal is to build a wine cool with the Avallo Accumonitor, have a crumb tray with two fans, ETC control, catch any condensation and reuse, and have remote RH reads. I am hoping to build under $500.

What are the thoughts of those with wine coolers?

after things stabilize I do not think you will get enough condensation to keep an acumonitor full
I see. Are people still get some condensation that has to be removed? If so would it be a good idea to have that collect in the water source to be used?

It all depends on house humidity levels, temp, and prob a million other factors. We had a talk about this in chat today. I can say what works for you prob won't work for someone else. There is so many factors involved. I started getting some condensation at first, but have not had a drop in atleast 6 months.

Swif, check out the PM I just sent you.
Thanks. I like what you did. I am thinking of trays on the top and boxes on the bottom.

I also see the Avallo has a ez kit that I am looking into and add two more fans with beads at the bottom, middle and top.

I still get some condensation, but I have not had to empty the container in the last three months. (after I put beads in) Before that I had a Cigar oasis unit and I was having to empty the container.

Same here. I us KL and haven't emptied my condensation catch in months.
I may make a smaller catch container to give me more room for cigars!

So if I run the tube to the accumultor container I should not have to worry about over flow?

I am in so cal and the house get up to 85* on HOT summer days.

Might be different for you. I'm in Michigan, AC keeps the house around 75. With your house that hot, it will run longer/more and produce more condensation.

I saw that also, and will be curious to hear how it works for you. My current set-up is working fine, but it is just in my nature to change things.

Picked up Vinotemp VT-58 for a great deal, new. It has a compressor so that is the down side. I have worked up what I think will work for shelving measurements and will need them to be on roller slides.

I will remove the hooks and will use the screw holes to mount the roller slider to the bracket.

What is a good sealant to seal all holes that will be made when I add electric humidification and remote temp/humidification readings?
