Can the difference between a Corona Gorda and Lonsdale size really make them totally different? I haven't tried either, but find it hard to believe there can be a major difference.
This would be true if the regular 7th and reserva 7th were the same blend as the NHC's. I'm not too knowledgeable on the NHC's but I don't think they're the same blend as the 7th. I'll be trying my first of all 3 when they come in. G1

All I can say is that I was not impressed with the 7th Especial at all, and bought a box of the NHC Especial...

Tastes are different, of course, but the RG difference of the two cigars is enough to totally change the profile, IMHO...

I think you would be surprised if you tried both of them...

So far I have agreed with almost 100% of Brooks' reviews, so I had to get a box to see if I agree with this one since I too was not a big fan of the 7th capa.

Order a box and a 5er late last night. Actually like the regular NHC more than the reserva... I have a feeling the Capa is going to be really good.
Bruddah Cyrann gifted me a regular NHC at IPCPR. It was the shiznit!:cbig:

Much Mahalos!

Hawaiian..I know you jumped on some of this so I can just mooch off you!:headroll:

Can't wait to see what you think :)

Smoked my first one. Brooks is dead on again. This is a freakin awesome cigar.

I have to admit I don't know why the 7th capa did nothing for me and this is awesome, but I will continue to listen to Brooks. Thanks again!

Absolutely loved the first one I smoked a few days ago, wish I had more than just 4 more. Top 3 cigar for my year without a doubt.

I enjoyed them and was fortunate enough to get them... I would not say it's better than the Tatuaje 7th Capa Especial, nor a 96 or something rating that I read... but good smoke worthy of a 5er and maybe even a box.

The 7th both the regular and reserva never did it for me. Disappointing cause I like the size. Never went further with the capa as the other 2 werent' for me. Just finished my first of each of the NHC, never bought em due to the size (I prefer robusto ish sizes) weird because one of my favorite tatuaje's is the havana caz. Anyway, started with the habano wrapper, really a nice smoke, eyes closed you could tell this was a tatuaje. Next day smoked a reserva, again, nice smoke, not a noella reserva but nice. Today, I smoked a capa and its a tossup between the capa and habano being my favorite. The capa has a little more complex, light chocolate/woody undertone with a really nice finish. There was a underlying pepperyness on the back of the tongue which was reminiscent of some medium cc's, the habano being a little more traditional tatuaje experience. Bummer that there were only a small amount of these made. I will have to pick up more of the habano wrapped ones though. All excellent smoke, especially for the afternoon evening. G1
