Anyone else find that buying samplers is a great way to get stuck with cigars you don't want to smoke?

I agree picking up a selection of sticks at the B&M or one of the online retailers that sell singles is the way to go.I bought samplers when new lots of people do. I then came on here and realized that the trade section usually has fivers for a great price. If you are looking for a variety go to your local b&m grab five sticks, might coast a tad more but you can see them smell them and feel them. Worth the price difference in my opinion.
I noticed you are in Plano. I live near downtown Dallas. Which cigar shops have the good samplers if you don't mind me asking? I know the Cigar Warehouse by the Willow Bend mall has some pretty good deals but I have never looked at their samplers. The problem IMO is the samplers, it's where you are buying the samplers from. If you are getting them from any of the catalog retailers, they are always going to have their house exclusives in some shape or form.
The few B&M-type shops that to do them, do them well for the most part.
