Tatuaje Cigars and my local B&Ms

I love to support my local B&Ms, but NONE of them ever have any Tatuaje in stock! Six of the stores just don't carry the brand and another store always tells me "We have some on order..." I've heard this for the past two months.... :frownno:

I asked the owners if they ever considered stocking Tatuaje in their stores and most say "Nope." :angerhead

This leads me to buy online, which I don't mind, but I'd rather support the locals.

Just curious if any others have similar problems.

yep my local is the smallest of a chair of 3 stores they get crap stuff. Just order from one of our sponsors here they will take good care of ya.

I did for a while with one of my local shops. I kept asking if they were planning on getting Tatuaje stock in at all. They had some Triunfador, but that was it for Pete's stuff. Finally I guess enough people poked at them and asked for it that they're regular customer's with Tatuaje and regularly keep them in stock. They even have started getting newer stuff in as it's released.

I suggest continuing to poke at them. Hopefully they'll get some sense that not everyone wants to smoke Rocky and Ghurka.

Yep got the same problem here in Indy. There are 2 B&Ms up north a good hour from me that carry the regular production lines but no LEs. Actually nobody around carries Liga or Illusione believe it or not. I asked the owner of the B&M closest to me and he said they were just too expensive to carry.

That's always a tough call. But if the locals don't have the cigars I want ti smoke, I don't feel bad at all. Especially if I asked them to carry the brand/size. But most will order them for you...but that still doesn't help if you walk into a shop with a certain smoke that they refuse to carry it.

Yep. No Tats, no LP (though they have other DE stuff and JdN so I'm hopeful there will be some Undercrowns at some point), not a large selection of DPG either (no Blues, nor Blacks), I did however see a few boxes of LFD last time I was in so maybe there's hope :dunno:. But I can always go to Springfield (about an hour drive) and get all those things and more :thumbsup:.

Im not sure if it is true or not but I have been told that Tatuaje wont sell to just any B&M like most companies will.

The B/M i frequent only has a couple Tats, no Liga Privadas and 1 Illusion. I've let the owner know a few times that he loses money because when i order online I also order other things, things he carries but it's easier to source it all in one spot.

Why do you want to support the local store that does not carry anything that you actually want to smoke?

There are plenty of good shops that support BOTL that carry what you are looking for and if you want something a bit closer to home try Empire in Raleigh oe Emersons in Norfolk. They are a great shops with an excellent selection of Tats and others.

Sure, but I am not going to buy cigars I don't want to smoke in order to have a lounge...

While I am all for supporting local businesses, if they don't want to actually cater to me (i.e. by offering cigars I actually WANT to buy from them), then that is their loss (business wise)...

Amen brother. It took forever to get Tats into our local B&M. They are always back ordered. But, I support them as it is a place to sit and talk with other cigar smokers and relax that is within a 30 mile radius. I can usually find something platable.

Unfortunately there are only so many cigars to go around. Some stores can not get certain cigars because the manufacturers are not opening up any more contracts right now. So, some little store that is just opening up, or others that are/were late to the game can not get these cigars we are looking for.

My local B&Ms carry tatuaje and LP. Must be the larger city I guess. Here at school the local place that sells cigars only has acid from DE and no Tats.

I dont think we'll see any new LP accounts for at least a year if not longer. The guys that got in at the ground level scored big.
