Earthquake!

No, not a bomb. A real earthquake, here in northern VA. Nothing special - 30 seconds maybe - but shook the whole building.

Anyone else feel it?

I dunno if it made it's way all the way up here in Toronto but all of a sudden I felt my head bobble outta the blue twice....thought my vertigo just went because I'm tired lol

My co-worker swears she felt something. She just asked her friends in NY and they said they felt it up there...

EDIT: one friend said they've got it as a 5.8 out of Charlottesville, VA

Yup. Felt it here too. My wife called from Woodbridge half scared to death. Early reports are 5.8

It was so weird. I was at the exit of the costco where they check your receipt and it felt like I was on a boogie board for 5 or 6 seconds. Then you look and people are running out screaming like a Godzilla movie. It was so mild and the duration was short maybe 10 sec max? Then again, I've been in a few earthquakes in Japan and there, you actually have to hold on and things really shake! This felt like a mild case of vertigo. Anyone hear of one in Colorado about the same time? G1

Definitely felt it in downtown DC. A few broken things that fell off of shelves, otherwise no damage.
