Rocky Patel was recently featured on the CNBC show how I made my millions. I missed watching it on tv but it is now available on their website to watch. Watch here
Love or hate his cigars, it is nice to see cigars showcased in a positive fashion for once.

I'm sure the actors he represented, wasn't going to let him go belly up. And it's great to see how he went from a nobody in cigars to someone everyone recognizes good or bad.

Its funny when he talked about tasting cigars made for his company back in the Indian Tabac days, then receiving the shipments and they were shit.

I often wonder if this is what has happened when I have a cigar from a smaller company, that's absolute crap. Probably happens a lot to the smaller guys that dont have the power or leverage to do anything about it.

Ok I just want to know if he showed them dying the cigars on the program?
No... but I was looking. I did witness this in 2006... don't hold it against me that I took the trip to Honduras... I know better now.

It was funny to watch because the scenes where they made it look like he was driving across the us selling his cigars were all shot on local roads.

Thanks for posting this link, saw this last night. CRA sent out an email blast about it but I forgot to go and look for the link.

His cigars aren't the absolute best in the world, but it's very nice to see the industry showcased in so positive a light. It seems like in 99% of cases this would have been "balanced" by coverage showing that premium cigars destroy families and hurt kids or something crazy like that. Nice that they just profiled a businessman and his success and left it at that.

Ive often wondered about this. Because I have has 1st run/1st shipments of a new cigar from smaller manufacturers. Then when I have re ordered they ended up being lousy.

They have a few I don't mind and smoke on occasion.

The show is about success, entrepreneurship and what it takes to be successful. Like the cigars or not, he has marketed himself well and made his way. He's lived the "American Dream" that so many of us that were born here would never consider doing.
