So I have recently been addicted to playing golf. So much in fact i just purchased a set of Nike Slingshot Irons, Calloway Diablo Big Bertha Driver, and a couple of other random clubs from my GOLF fanatic retired neighbor. heres the issue, i have a really terrible worn out putter.

So what putter do you reccomend? Im trying to stay below 200$ and ive had a guy offer me a CAMEROON FOR 150$

Any help is greatly appreciated

Oh heres my clubbys

Go to a golf store and putt with them, only way to find one you like. Too many variables for anyone to recommend one over the internet.

Why putt? Getting on the green is challenge enough.

Scottys at $150 aren't that uncommon... I say go to a store and hit a few, see what feels good, and if that one you were offered works, go for it. Do you know what model?

Its not the putter that makes you a good golfer. Greens are all about touch. Find a club that you like and just practice with it.
Bingo. A guy I went to college with had the oldest pos putter I've ever seen, but man could he hole puts. He spent a lot of down time in the dorm office practicing.

This is the best advice. The deal on the Scotty Cameron is good. You should see if the seller will let you test it out on the course. If it doesn't suit you, then you're not out any money.

Agreed. I'm wayyyyyy too picky when it comes to any golf club anyway. My putter especially. I spent probably and hour and a half finally deciding on a putter I liked.

Recently invested in a new putter after trying a number of new ones. Four rounds later, I'm back to the Zebra-knock off that I got for under ten bucks almost 40 years ago. I had figured that technology must have made this old thing obsolete -- not a chance....try a bunch of them -- then try them a 2nd and 3rd time -- just because a putter is expensive doesn't mean that it will have the balance/weighting that suits your stroke

Give the Ping Zings a try when you demo. I couldn't be happier with mine.
Word! I use a BeCu Ping Zing from the late 80's I believe. Awesome feel on the putter. I use it when I have problems with lag putting. When I am lag putting well I switch to a Scotty Cameron for precision within 20 feet. I got a couple of other putters that i substitute in when I feel confident with them. A lot of it has to do with confidence with the putter.
