after some much phone time with the factory i finally tracked down the correct blend info on Casa Gomez Natural and Maduro

Wrapper: Connecticut Shade Ecuador/ Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro
Binder: Criollo 98, Not the Honduran it originally was
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan

those that got the chance to smoke the maduro saturday night, the green was spot on, those bad boys came in fresh before IPCPR in july a few more months and they will be smoking proper.

These smoked very good, but will be better in a year. Ciggy, talk to loren, I'm sure you can get some of them.

Thanks.

The reason I asked is because I got some from you last September, just about exactly a year ago, which would have been after last year's IPCPR.

I have a couple of Connecticuts and a maduro; they were hitch-hikers with some other stuff I bought from you.

Do I have the old blend (Honduran binder) or the new blend (criollo binder)? Is there are way to tell visually?

There were maduros there as well?
I smoked 3 of the ones from the bunch you brought... All good smokes, good flavors. And I have had a few other guys smoke them too now, and the general response is a thumbs up on them. I am sure they were not the maduro, they seemed to be something like a habano wrapper.

the brazilan arapiraca wrapped casa gomez maduro shade varie which is why gary said some need an extra year or so of aging i think. the shade variation is jsut a sign that we use natural maduro wrappers no cooking/painting/maduro-matic

So all the ones I smoked were the Arapiraca Maddy?
That's one hell of a good cigar at the price point!
