I decided to break out one of the ELOs I purchased a while back when Dan re-released the 1s/3s. I ended up splitting a bundle of 1s/3s/6s and smoked quite a few of each right after they came out. I decided to revisit after they had some time to rest, and I was really impressed with the results. Sadly I can't for the life of me remember which of the three this stick is. I have a few left of each one, and haven't smoked any of them in going on a year now. If anyone has the inside scoop on which was supposed to be what popular stick could you please shoot me a PM? I can't for the life of me remember. I know the flavor profile screams of a nicely aged Verocu that still packed a serious punch. Here are a few pics of my very enjoyable experience. Hopefully they will help ID which one this is. The age mellowed out the familiar Tatuaje spice a bit, but the cigar was still one of the best I've had out here yet.

I believe that's the #3, from the pic. Can you measure another and give us the length? The #1 is 6" while the #3 is 5 1/2"
I'm not familiar with the #6 though.

That's the "Elo 6" brotha! Verocu blend with an oscuro wrapper in a petite robusto format. It has a really nice sweet coffee note to it! I swear that was the best release Dan had all year especially for the money! If i'd only known, and had the funds allocated, i would have bought 5 or 6 bundles!

This one is definitely bigger than a petite robusto. I do have those also still so that answers my question on that. The one in the picture is exactly 5.5" long which leads me to believe it's a #3 as Ciggy mentions. I'm going to have to smoke one of these #6s next though! I remember how amazing it was even fresh off the truck. I'm glad I hung on to these as they have definitely grown up!

Tom was right, my eyes were playin tricks on me! I think these still need
additional down time... I'll be glad when they "completely" come around!
If you want a gut punch though, Either the 1 or the 3 will take you there!
They are still puredee nicotine bombs! :hysterica

#1 is the Westie, #3 is the Eastie and #6 is the Verocu #9(???)
I said PM because I didn't know if there was ever a chance of Dan releasing any more ELOs and I was trying to keep it hush hush... but I suppose that's highly unlikely now so I'll go ahead and say it lol.

I still have one OR Westie and I just compared it to the unlabled ELO #1 and they both measure the exact same length 6 1/4" and the same ring gauge as well. Same shade and everything. I wish I had an OR Eastie to compare to the #3! (Although I don't know if I could resist the temptation of both a Westie and an Eastie sitting in my humi at the same time.)

Oops...Guess I should have done that too. Hadn't had my first cup of joe yet so my brain wasn't fully awake. Sorry.

Got that right! I smoked one rott when they came out and about tossed my cookies; well, I'm sure the drinking didn't help any. I tried one again the other day, still not there yet.

The original ELO #1s and #3s are from 2008. The more recent batch from March 2011. There will be a huge difference in how they are smoking now ... the '08s will be very smooth, without too much spice remaining. The '11s are still mongrels (not that that's a bad thing). Around the 12-month mark those should start hitting their stride ... just in time for spring :) I foresee the spring-fall months of 2012 being filled with a lot of those for me, baby!
