Any of you brothers out there excited for this?

Currently playing the beta, it has its fair share of glitches but so do most betas. Im playing it for Xbox 360 (i know thats a sin to all the PC players out there). Personally I think the game will trump Call of Duty this year.

Thoughts?

it'll never trump CoD just because it's to slow paced. CoD will have it because most people enjoy the "arcadeiness" of the CoD series. that being said, yes i'm crazy excited for it, it looks gorgeous. i've had mine on pre-order for weeks already... can't wait to get it.

I've been playing the Beta on 360 as well...the glitches are hard to play with (I've been falling through the map damn near every game). The game has alot of potential, I'll probably pick this up along with Modern Warfare 3

I'm gonna pick it up for PC.

And agreed, looks better than CoD: MW3 and I think it'll outperform it in sales. Been watching leaked beta gameplay footage for each, and BF3 seems like it's gonna be a stellar release. (Disclaimer: I also hold a fair amount of stock in EA, so I'm doubly interested.)

Also looking forward to the Star Wars MMO slated for December release (also EA), and to the new Elder Scrolls Release in November.

yeah, but the gameplay looks the same mostly... it's not gonna be the fast paced. shoot - respawn - die - respawn. that CoD is. keep in mind that i haven't played the beta.

I've also been playing the beta on the 360. I've played all of the Battlefield games and I'll definitely be picking this one up.

I can't wait until I'm piloting jets in the retail version.

For PC, do I need to invest in some serious hardware? If so, I might have to wait on this. The last Battlefield release pretty much needed top-tier equipment IMO.

Yeah, you need some pretty advanced stuff to run this on pc, I think a minimum of a HD6800 series or some crap like that. I'm still in the 4800 series :-(. That's why I play on xbox. $200 for the system and no performance issues or troubleshooting. But the pc screens and videos look amazing!
