Cyrann,

Great questions, here you go.

1a. Estimated total production for 2010 = 25K
1b. Estimated Target for 2011 production = 60K
1c. Estimated total production for 2012 = 1 million (inject Dr. Evil's voice here)

2. Number of Retailers: 3 (samples have been sent to another 10-12 shops this week and in discussion with high-end grocery chain with 13 locations) - not too bad for being live for 2 weeks.

3. IPCPR - yes, we plan to be there this year.

Welcome Bryan. Sounds like a tasty smoke. I've been on a Nicaraguan kick for quite some time now and the Sumatra wrapper seems like it will add a nice touch to the sticks. Keep us posted as to when we will be able to get our hands on a few to try.

Bryan, welcome to the site, congratulations on successfully getting your company opened up and with product, and thanks for sharing all the info. I look forward to getting the opportunity to try one of your sticks. As a fellow BOTL, and at the risk of sounding like a real snob, I wonder if you really want your product in a large grocery store chain. I know that income and exposure are critical right now, but so many cigar smokers are influenced by factors like retail availability. I can buy a Black and Mild or a Dutchmaster at most grocery stores, gas stations, mini marts, etc. and therefore am not at all interested. To limit a product's availability strictly to tobacconists you maintain the value of your brand as well as generate interest simply by being in a B & M. This is obviously an oversimplification of things, but wanted to express the concern that I would have if I was in your situation. Best of luck bro!

I'm always up for trying something new. Sounds like you have a cigar I would like as well. Since you Big Sticks has your 13th Cigars...do you know if they do online orders? I know I'll Google them as well...maybe the answer will save a brother a Google search.

Bryan, having worked in the business for over 10 years, 7 of which were managing 4 different B&M's, I agree with Dave's comments. Give them some thought my friend.

Best of luck with your cigars and hopefully they make there way to the east coast. If you like I would be more than happy to suggest a local B&M to you.

Guys, first of all thank you for taking the time to provide your input and guidance here. I absolutely agree with what you are saying regarding grocery chains and the possible (or should I say inevitable) degradation of our brand. I should have been more specific, the stores I was referring to are actually gourmet specialty stores with walk in humidors stocked with premium cigars only. If I even mentioned Black & Mild I might be 86'd from the store.

In all seriousness though, I really do appreciate the support here and you guys weighing in on this keeping my best interest in mind. And believe me, every once in a while I don't mind some heat from the mound coming high and inside if it's for my own good.

Regarding suggestions for your favorite local B&M's - please share, would love to hear directly from you.

Best of luck with the venture Bryan, I'll be sure to sample these when they become available.

Bryan,
Where is the nearest B&M in Gilbert AZ. that sells them?

Found them at Casa Fuma, but Blew smoke never heard of them! I'll buy an extra and drop it off there!

I'm new to the forum and am really a lurker. I'm based in Tennessee but will be traveling to Los Angeles this weekend and was curious if the line had expanded to any SoCal retailers. I would like to try some. Sorry for crashing in on the thread. Cheers
