The next time you see a law enforcement officer, thank him. He may not go home to his family at the end of the day.

My prayers go out for him, his family, and the rest of our men in blue.

R.I.P., Officer Simmons (salute)

Very sad. May he RIP.

Thoughts and prayers for their families and for the officer who's recovering.

My prayers go out to both of these officers, and their families.

It is sad that this has to happen in our day and time. Most of the time we do not see what these officers do on a daily basis, when we see them pulling over a speeder or pulling one us over for something that we see as a minor infraction, they are doing their job. Just one simple stop could turn into a life or death situation.

At the cigar lounge I frequent, there is a group of Appletons finest that come down and enjoy a smoke. A couple of these gentlemen were involved in a standoff with a high school friend of mine about 3 weeks ago. None of the officers were harmed but my friend was shot in the neck, and is recovering. It is unfortunate that I have had friends on both sides of the law on that day, but my prayers went out for both.

Just like those serving in the military, there just isn't enough gratitude we can give.

Today, Randy was laid to rest. A beautiful service, an incredible procession to the graveside. There was over 10000 sworn police/fire there, as well as alot of civilians.

May you rest in Peace Brother. We will carry on what you started and never forget your sacrifice!
