Sorry for your loss. We've been there. It took us (well, me) a year to get it together to get another dog, but glad we did. I miss my old smoking buddy, but love the new one just as much. Hope you get to fill your house again at some point.
Thank you all for the kind words. We came close to losing him in January to a bleeding spleen and liver cancer. He recovered from that after $urgery but in the end old age, bad hips, and cardiac arrhythmia took its toll. We just couldn’t put him through another winter.
Kroger came home yesterday. Although I didn’t order the option, his vet included a plaster paw print at no charge. I’ll start work on his urn box tomorrow.
