Hello everyone.

My motivation for joining is twofold. While I normally burn one about once a month while stateside, it began with my attempts to improve the air quality in places a bit less sanitary and far less hospitable. As such my taste is not incredibly sophisticated and I know I have far more to learn about the leaf.

The secondary reason is that when a truly good person, mdwest, while letting you sleep in his spare bedroom post homelessness (by choice, this is my third time I've put everything into a POD pending another return to Afghanistan) sings the praises of an online community with shared interests, it's something you want to participate in. He's also introduced me to a variety of smokes that have far surpassed my typical catalog experience and shown me just how little I know about cigars.

I don't have much to offer, but I am looking forward to growing my knowledge.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. It's time to start getting on with my BOTL education.

On a personal note, while I am going on year five between life in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I have worked alongside nearly every branch, my career path has been a little more misguided. I would never want to take credit from anyone in uniform.
