ENV and others.. just to be clear.. DR is NOT serving in uniform...

his humble post here however doesnt really tell the whole story... he is serving alongside those in uniform, in direct support of US government missions/initiatives (not all are DoD/military missions/initiatives).. is subject to similar working conditions, is living on the same camps, etc.. (dont want to go into too many details for obvious reasons... but.. in short, his check doesnt come from the department of defense directly.. but... if you know anything about my career path.. his is similar.. except he is still doing younger mans work.. while I now for the most part drive a desk and write position papers (old fart work... ))....

in short.. while what he is doing is noble.. and I am taking nothing away from it at all... just want to make sure everyone knows... there is a difference... (not a troop)..

The Redneck Herf looks like it will be quite the occasion, and after driving all over Tennessee yesterday doing the site recon (and sleeping on the couch for a week), I don't know how Dave manages to be such a fantastic juggler... A word to the wise, don't trust Siri... As fun as it will be, I'm hoping I can get downrange sooner than later as I've now got my primary project as well as one for MPI in the works.
