A little funky, but overall happy with my two for the day. The one on the left is the closest I have gotten to my target, a robusto. I have a new habit of the foot being smaller than the head. It gradually gets bigger as it goes towards the head. Hard to tell in pictures but it's there.
Should have 4lbs of tobacco on my doorstep this afternoon :)

My freehand sticks take about 6-8 minutes each to roll. Using the mold adds quite a bit of time since it usually should sit in the mold at least an hour
I'm about the same though it depends on the day. Some days I can crank them out in 5 but others it's easily 10-15 lol. I've noticed I'm faster rolling smaller RG stuff as well.
It's hard to fully appreciate the speed and skill of a good torcedor until you actually try rolling a cigar. How fast they roll and how effortless they make it look really is amazing.

This is making me want to start rolling.

How long does a single roll take you guys on average?
Usually about an hour and a half for a couple sticks. Most of that time is spent prepping and bringing binder and wrapper up to case. Grab a blend kit off whole leaf and give it a try. If you don't like it you are only out a little over twenty bucks.

I present to you the first Hooligan lancero! 1 leaf corojo seco, 1/2 leaf Dominican viso, and 1 leaf criollo ligero, Dominican binder and wrapped in San Andres. It's a little rustic, but for not using a mold or forming the stick at all except with a binder I'm very happy with this. Time to go roll more. Lancero February is coming!!!!
That looks incredible bro, but I am partial to San Andrés wrappers...

Thank you brother! It's quickly becoming a favorite to work with. Have only smoked one of my San Andres wrapped sticks so far, but the initial impression was Ho-Lee-Fook. Anxious to see if my lanceros burn well and taste good. I try to wait a few weeks before smoking my sticks but I'm thinking that the lanceros will dry out and be ready to smoke much sooner than my 50rg perfectos so I will probably break down and try one towards the end of this coming week.

Made a couple new blends tonight to try out. When I first started I was just using the azucurado kit from WL. Since I got in some Nicaraguan seco, corojo Viso, and criollo Ligero. So now I am going to keep better track of my blends and make bands for my smokes.
Here are two I rolled tonight.
1-nicuraguan seco
1.5-corojo viso
1-criollo ligero
And:
1-dominican seco
1.5-corojo viso
1-crillo ligero
Hoping one is a winer. Any of you guys have any experience with these varietys? I have some San Vicente ligero and more Dominican Seco on the way to me. And now for pics.

Very happy with my bunching and rg consistency.

Edit: forgot to mention, both use an Ecuadorian maduro wrapper and Dominican binder.

Looking good!! The corojo and criollo combo is a good one in my experience. Those blends sound pretty full strength/flavor and pretty good.
