Man great game once again the "big" performers were horrible. Why not just have Lea Michelle do the anthem, she's already out there. Good Recovery Aguilera but come one let this be a lesson don't mess with the arrangement just sing the traditional anthem.

As for the Half Time show, whoever was the sound man should be fired. the Mic Volumes kept changing that's why you couldn't hear usher, and sounded like the BEP were screaming. Hell I think Justin Bieber would of put on a better show. Made me long for the days of The Who and Bruce Springstien.

I didn't even notice the Anthym mistake.

The BEP's are a great studio band, but you just can't recreate that sound in a live show. And yeah they kind of sucked. The effects were cool, no problem for me to see a produced show with a thousand dancers on the field. I thought that was cool. Slash is the man, and I thought Fergie did the song weel, though she is a "butterface" Meaning everything is great BUT HER FACE.

After learning from past years I just left during half time. Everything I heard about it makes me confident I made the right decision to not watch that garbage.

I think that she just got caught up in all of the embellishments and forgot where she was in the song. As far as the BEPs, they are a studio group plan and simple. I didn't really think The Who sounded good last year. Roger Daltrey was all over the place. I saw him perform about 4 months later with Eric Clapton and he was amazing. I'm not a BEP fan at all, but I think it's all in the sound people's hands. Who knows how much adding 90,000 + people to a stadium after sound check will affect sound.

They should jail her right??

She screwed up but I think she did a good job of getting back on track. Could it have been better? Sure, but do we just always need something to cry about?

As for the Black Eyed Peas, they were absolutely horrible.
Justin is right. Ok. I am extremely proud of my Country, served in for 5 years in active duty. Xtina's voice was beautiful. ANd let us not forget, she still continues to do USO shows in support of the men and women serving active duty all over the world. These shows are done free of charge. She screwed up the words, but held it together to sing the rest of the song.

OMG, she is human. I would like to see any of you stand up in front of a pack stadium with 30+ million TV viewers sing the National anthem without mistakes, on key. Sorry, but some folks need to take a reality check. I'd rather Xtina sing it anyday, before letting Roseanne Barr sing it again.

She was questioned about it immediately after singing and was genuinely sorry. Cast not stones, lest you have stones cast upon thee.

As for the Black Eyed Peas. THEY were just ok. I expected more from a halftime show and they didn't deliver. Fergie has a great voice but slaughtered GNR.

My wife and I noticed CA's mistake and were dissappointed, but not outraged. As for BEP, I learned a long time ago that most halftime shows suck anyway, so I didn't bother to watch.

I think Roseanne Barr's anthem farce was 100 times worse than Aguilera's slip up.

Yes, Aguilera is a professional and should have gotten it correct, and that is a mistake she will live with.

However, Rosanne purposely and intentionally disgraced our country.

What a ungrateful slob she is...This country affords her millions of dollars and all she can do is spit in our faces...Screw her.

This is a billion dollar stadium and a multi-million dollar event, it was the talent performing and not the sound people's problem. BEP sounded like shit!

As far as CA is concerned she is a performer and it has been said she has sang the song many times publicly, she just picked the biggest stage to screw up the lyrics on. I don't think her any less and American for her blunder, but I also don't see her being asked to do it again.

I don't want anyone to take my jabs out of context. I'm not blaming or calling for a tar and feather of Christina A it just annoys me when it happens.

The black eyed peas did blow though.

Personally, I thought the half-time show was decent. Yeah the vocals were off, several of the mics seemed like were having problems with sound levels. But it's live and it's a fairly large production with all the dancers and quick stage set up, so things go bad sometimes.

But as a performance goes, I thought it was good. The black eyed peas are entertainers, not great vocalists. The cameo by slash was decent. If they were going to bring in Usher, they should have let him sing a little more instead of that quick little dance. The light show and set was good as well.

IMO the best half-time show in recent times was Prince. Just a solid performance and show.

I tend to hate the choices for half-time performances. I'm tired of the old, rock band from the 70's and 80's. Too old and dated.

Yes...Me as well. Also, Justin's a cool brother and in no way was I trying to bash him, just saying how I feel it shouldn't happen.

I guess I'm the only one who thought the commercials were more horrible than the entertainment?!?

I laughed my ass off at the little darth vader! The rest of the commercials were OK at best, like the Etrade commercials with the little babies...those were horrid. I must admit, that as far as the half-time show goes, I had my kids there with me and they both were dancing in the living room and amazed at what a concert would look like. I know it's not good for an older crowd, but I think everyone needs to appreciate that the promoters are also trying to drive in eyeballs from all ages, inclusive of a younger generation that buys their gear, merch, and video games.
That said, I never noticed the anthem screw up, maybe because I am not an American...either way, she breezed through a screw up like a professional though which is good.
