Joe, I hate to ask, but weren't you having issues with the Jericho Hill smokes as well or were those bad from the get go?
The JH was bad from the get go. Bad caps and missing chunks in the wrapper was all construction from factory stuff. The replacement box of JH has been flawless as with all the other CH I've smoked. On the first page I posted no issues with the AA but now I've seen what others have been talking about. Still a huge CH fan and the AA is smoking good just not the best looking stick with cracks and what not.

That's right. I was just curious if maybe your humidor had it in for CH. Grasping straws here is all. It's sad that you're having these issue with such a fantastic stick. The few that I have smoked haven't had any issues.
Maybe these just smoke better wet?

Could be but like I said the JH never even made it into the humidor. Honestly I don't think I'm the only one with problems on the AA. The JH was bad no question about it and in CH fashion they replaced the box immediately. All other CH stuff has been great and I'm still a huge fan and always will be. Please don't think I'm complaining just updating from my first post when I said no issues.

Edit to add
Just got a box of Tennessee Waltz and construction is great I'll even go out on a limb and say it's my favorite stick of 2014. Price, flavor and build all great in my book

No, no, never thought you were complaining. CH, for lack of a better term, is cigar royalty around here, just trying to figure out why there are issues with wrappers cracking.

I have to back @Wicket on this one. I have not had issues with wrappers on anything else from CH (including MD north/south, Tenn Waltz, or JH), but have had a TON of problems with the wrappers on the AA. Most have cracked somewhere on them either during shipping, lighting, or smoking. Its not a storage issue, its a wrapper quality issue I think.

I too have only seen this on the AA from CH.

I don't know if it's quality, maybe just very delicate wrappers? I damaged two just putting them in five finger bags so had to swap them. Ziploc part literally sheered part of the wrapper right off. Very fragile.

I'm really surprised at this. I have sold almost all of the 20 boxes we received at my shop and have never had a wrapper issue mentioned by anyone. I haven't seen any issues out of the 2 I personally bought either. This is interesting

I haven't personally seen this as high on the stick as some of these pics. I've smoked maybe 12-15 of the AAs, and have some wrappers crack about an inch from the foot when I light, but nothing like you guys are seeing. Too weird.
