I have been type 1 for just about 41 years now...Still have all my fingers and toes, so I must be doing something right!

Here's the question...Do you ever notice how/if your blood sugar levels affect how strong (ie nicotine kick) your cigar is?

I'd really be interested to hear all of your answers, as I think that I get a get killed with a stronger cigar when my levels are low.

With oral meds, low is not my problem. I do notice when It's high the nicotine hits me more. But that my be the alcohol consumption. The booze is what does me in every time. Shoots my sugar levels threw the roof.

I am not diabetic, but I deal with diabetes first hand on a daily basis, as a pharmacy tech, teaching people how to use their glucometers, etc. Oh, and robbing people blind for the cost of test strips.

Type 2, Non-insulin dependent. Oral Meds (Janumet 500/50) twice a day. Trying to get it under control and lose weight. I really should exercise.

Exercise helps tremendously..Can't tell you how much it helps to have regular exercise.

I, too, need to shed some pounds.

Type II was diagnosed two years ago, I'm sure it was well on before then. Since I dropped 50 lbs and came off the meds. I still have a ways to go through.
