Anyone else have issues with the Drac?

Not the cigar itself but....I placed my order through Emersons as soon as they hit the website for a box of Dracs and a box of Boris. I got my order last nite and the Drac box was opened.....not only was the seal broken but the cigars were removed (totally without) from the black paper just laying in that painted box. The Boris where totally sealed...had the plastic covering the box, intact unbroken seal, and still wrapped in the paper. I know that many thought the golden tickets were only going to be in the Drac boxes so I am wondering if that was the case here (reason why the boris was still intact). I am glad I got the sticks but this kinda peaves me off a bit.

Dif b&m same story cracked seal on the Boris I got. At least I got the cigars. Now if I can track down a empty Drac box and piece it together. Ill be all good.

I would call them and ask what the hell is up with that. That would piss me off if I bought a box of cigars and they were opened prior to shipping.

It's like I wouldn't be so mad about it if they just popped the seal to look inside....but they removed the paper so the cigars were flopping around without protection when they shipped. Not sure if the dracs had the cloth band holding them together like the boris...if so the cloth band was gone as well.

Was the ticket supposed to be outside the wrapper of the bundle or inside?

Not that I'm defending what they did ,I think it was wrong but........ maybe they just opened the box to inspect the cigars or just plain curiosity...some vendors open random boxes for inspection.... ..I'm sure pete knows the box numbers that have the tickets.......

I had one B&M open some of the boxes because they were going to sell them for singles before I bought the whole box for another brother on here. Since Emerson was selling singles also maybe that is what happened.

Even if Pete knows which boxes have the tickets, he's also made it clear that retailers are eligible to win, so it doesn't matter if he opened the box and took out the ticket... He can still win. Jacked up, yes, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I would think the person that actually bought the box would have a pretty good argument for getting the ticket(if it was in the opened box)......otherwise why wouldn't all retailers just open all of their boxes and get all of the tickets.

It should have been disclosed that they were an open box. However, and I hate to say this, but with something this crazy I'd be glad they showed up unharmed, if not sealed. It could be worse! Hope you had a great bday!

Pete commented at one time that because of the way they were doing it, it might end up that NO BODY who bought boxes got sealed ones -- assuming that he figured the retailers might just open up all the boxes looking for tickets.

But it's CRAP that they took off the black paper and just left the cigars in there ... that's not only rude but bad cigar care. Ironically, since you can also get tickets in the Boris boxes, they're also not that smart, lol!

Sorry about that, Eric, but at least you ended up with Monster boxes on your birthday! Other than the bad initial impression (which I agree sucks), in the end you probably throw out the paper anyway.

BTW, does you box stink? Many are saying they need to air out the Drac boxes.

If Pete decides to do a drawing next year, maybe he should just number all the boxes as he did this year, and then randomly draw numbers next year. Might make things a bit easier, and less bullshit.
