First season was awesome. But I guess you gotta be a sci-fi fan. I loved the original series when I was a kid, and this new one is even better.

I bet thats Sci-Fi US though as not advertised here yet in the UK. Fantastic first season, I thought it might go the way of Firefly. I'll have to keep out of this post now so I don't spoil it for myself :applause:

Sorry folks, I've been side tracked for the past few days. I didn't actually get to watch it on Friday and it's been sitting in the TiVo's memory since. I probably won't get a chance to see it until tomorrow actually.

Good start to the season. Picks right up where last season left off.

One slight criticism, and this won't matter to anyone who's not a gun buff, but with all they are putting into their props, I'd think they could do a slightly better job with the rifles for the Colonial folks. The pistols are pretty cool looking but they are using those cheezy Berreta 9mm carbines for the rifles. Either that or the FN P9 (I think). Both are kind of futuristic looking in and of themselves, but still, current production firearms right now. Really doesn't take all that much to dress up the firearms with some junk to make them look futuristic IMHO, but it's just a minor gripe.

Wow ... I just finished seasons 1 + 2 on DVD. I was not into the original version of this show, but this one kicks ass. Edward James Olmos does a very good job as Cmdr. Adama and there are quite a few pieces of serious eye candy. I could do without Dr. Baltar though. I'll I start watching season 3 this weekend.

Just avoid reading anything about season 3 on the internet. Lots of spoilers around.
Unfortunately, season 4 doesn't start until Jan 2008.

Did you just finish season 2, or season 2.5 ?

I'm still only about half-way through season 3...it's delayed by a few months on the HD channel, which is where I'm watching it.
