As it solely relates to "craft beers" I would say yes!

I personally can't drink the "commercial" shit anymore!

I know mine have changed. In college we would go out to a local bar couple times a week for $1 draws. When you're a thirsty college student you don't really care what it is as long as it's cheap . Sometime around my Senior year I tried some Boulevard and holy shit it put to shame Bud, Miller, Coors, etc. Then I started trying everything I could. Now I can't touch any of the big names. If we're at a restaurant that only carries the big 3, I get a soda or tea. I've settled into a groove in the last year or so with what I like, but I still don't mind trying new things. I am definitely glad that I live in a time when micro breweries are so popular. But then again if I didn't know any better I'd probably still love Miller Light :dunno:.

I think I have a sickness. Yeah that's what we can say.

I think it's beyond just the vast array of choices for the consumer that's amazing. For those that take the beer drinking a step furhter to beer making. There are so many amazingly high quality ingredients available now. I can make a beer with the same grains that most of your favorite trappist beers are made with, or (fill in blank) brewery. The hop selection and yeast selection is just as widely varied. Hell there's a guy in NJ that's a start up yeast grower that specializes in sour and wild cultures.

Now is a great time to be a beer lover for sure.

I think the craft beer movement has been getting better and better.

When i was in Vermont getting my degree between 95-99 I drank many craft brews from Vt:

Otter Creek
Catamount (now shut down)
Magic Hat
Long Trail

I remember it being (unless my memory is off) a sumwhat new thing. The choices now are outstanding and I think there is competition to make better and bigger beers.

The interesting thing is when I now revisit those Vt brews I find them to be a bit thin. maybe my tastes are changing too.

I would agree though, craft beers seem to be getting a larger portion of the beer sales as a whole as compared to X number of years ago.
