Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Something about rye that makes a beer sweet. I really have to overcompensate with hops when I use rye in beers to counteract the sweetness. Reminds me I need to brew my rye IPA in the near future.Yuck. Way too sweet for an IPA. Not my thing at all...give me a west coast IPA any day over this.

I think that's what they tried to do here -- add more hops to mask the sweetness. It worked about as well as a smelly Frenchman dousing himself in cologne.Something about rye that makes a beer sweet.
