Hah! I've actually been pondering this for a bit and came to the conclusion that it may just be that particular beer with that particular stick as opposed to a type of beer playing well with a type of stick. I never pay attention to matching beers with cigars and rarely have any bad interactions. More often than not what happens is the stronger flavored beers completely overpower the cigar and kinda dull my palate, especially hoppy ones. Not ideal, but not unpleasant tasting.Carlos, gimme some feedback! You live in Texas!
Same struggle. Beer has fattened me up over the holidays so I'm now trying not to stock any. Bourbon is the way for the near future...I am currently smoking an Ashton VSG with same beer, and the ammonia is gone, but I now taste, um...beer! Maybe because it's 9%? I like beer, but I can't maintain my girly figure if I drink too much of it.
The drain......Question: What is a good pairing for an extra hoppy beer? I know I could Google this question but I trust you guys waaaaay more. Pic below.
95% of my drain pours have either been hopped-to-hell IPAs or "this tastes like chewing espresso beans and has a higher ABV than some bourbons, LOL aren't we EXXXXTREEEEEEEME DUDE?!" stouts/imperials/dopplebocks.The drain......
It is Friday night after all!....and everyone wants to reach Tomhood (drink and still look decent). I am at 5 now. 16oz beers. 9%. I am lovin life
And I actually had a couple Negra Modelos at our favorite Mexican joint. It is Friday night after all!
There is, oddly enough, a shortage of Modelo Negra at every liquor store I've tried. It's my favorite go-to.And I actually had a couple Negra Modelos at our favorite Mexican joint.
