Interesting. Did not know the meaning of that leaf. There's a good question at the bottom of the page in the comments about the same leaves on NCs and whether they are separated or just included as ligero.

From what I have read, this is no longer the case,

" They’re also very small. I saw several leaves of fermented and aged medio tiempo at El Laguito, the factory where all Cohiba Behikes are made, "

I heard the factory was overwhelmed and they had to start using other factories as well.

Our sources tell us that most of the Behike production is now being handled by Partagas.

Wish I would'a read this a few hours ago ... just finished a BHK. Great cigar, although I'm not sure it's great enough to live up to it's hype, just my opinion ...

I read somewhere that the boxes still all say that they were made at the El Laguito factory though. No mention at all on the boxes as having been made at Partagas. So in other words, a box might have been made at Partagas, but it'll still say that it was made at El Laguito. :scratchhe

The information in this link appears to corroborate the fact that production of Behikes at the Partagas factory in addition to El Laguito, though the numbers that are produced there are unclear http://www.cigarcyclopedia.com/news-views/cigar-news/1997-the-qotherq-cuban-cigar-festival-amigos-de-partagas-

Other Cohibas are also produced at the Partagas factory in addition to the Behikes, however, from what I understand much of this tobacco comes pre-blended from El Laguito so it is possible that both factories have a hand in the process and Cubatobacco has decided to stick with El Laguito on the box simply to avoid confusion.

Yea, read this in my mag. Cohiba's are my No.1 cigar of choice which I'm sure I share with 90% of the world. I just can't get over how much these things cost though. I try not to think about it, but in actuality it's like rolling up a $50 and setting it on fire or burning half of your weeks grocery list. :sadstare:
