There is only one place that is calling them bespoke and that has them widely available. I doubt anyone has tried them yet though. They only came out this week.

That site is selling the bespoke in fivers, so it's not that big of an investment to give them a try. That what I did. I agree that just because a cigar is a custom rolled Cuban doesn't mean it will be good. Best I've had so far were from Hamlet & Taboada.

I know this is a legit vendor that a lot of guys use but their customer service is terrible IMO. They basically ignore customer requests and while their prices are cheap and the sticks are authentic I've always found the quality to be quite poor. Just my opinion.

I'm sitting this one out for now -- I haven't had the quality problems that I've heard others having, but at this point I've got too much other good stuff to go through.

<-----Some gu(y)s are not using them at all anymore because once they got a couple bad boxes in (out of 25 in 2 years). They completely ignored him and took 2 months to refund customer money after they had received the bad cigars back. To say they have poor customer service is a understatement.
Little more money and a hell of a lot more peace of mind is my new motto. Sorry for the thread jack.

I've heard not good things about these cigars....think recycled. I guess this is congecture, but it's enough to keep me away for now. However, I'd like to see a review...or if someone wants to send me one, I'll smoke it.

PS

This vendor has always been solid for me, especially for recent smokes, but I haven't purchased here for a few years so I have no idea what is going on now.

Used them a lot over the years & never had a problem. They don't list box codes now & when they did you often didn't get the listed code anyway. But for regular Cuban cigars, can't complain about the price or quality. About a year ago a box ordered never arrived. After 3 weeks, I e-mailed them & mentioned it. Was told to wait 2 more weeks. Box still didn't arrive, e-mailed then & they sent me a replacement box- which DID arrive. So, no complaints here.

They aren't squirrely IMO. I had a No. 2 petacas come and one was crushed. E-mailed them, and they told me to keep them and sent a new one.

Not long, a year now. My order count with them is 11 orders, from 3-5'ers to box purchases. Only that one issue with one crushed foot on a Monte 2 which was replaced after an E-mail was sent.

I've always wanted to try a Hamlet-rolled cigar. The only custom's I've had is one from "a guy who knows a guy" type of thing, it was actually quite good. And now I've had 2 Johnny-Os, both awesome. I'm digging these things fresh and want to smoke the crap out of them before the go sick, lol.

Only a year? Maybe his service has improved, but my interactions with him go back a lot further than that. I remember ordering from him way back in 2002 or 2003 and continued until the mold issues in 2006 (I think that was the year, it's been awhile and I'm getting old!). I haven't used him since.

I'll try another order and see how it goes.

I quit once his volume of orders got beyond what I was comfortable with. And drop shipping from a swiss warehouse was a negative too. You can't control quality of cigars that way.
