I have smoked some with 3 years age which were fantastic, and now am smoking fresh ones that smoke fantastic. There is a flavor difference, but I like each for their own nuances. I am a huge fan of the gingerbread-like spice that I get from these. It is not a dominant flavor, but it is enough to be noticable and delicious. Love the size too for those nights when you want to just chill for a couple hours.
