I have noticed that 04 seemed to be a very good year, and one of the cigars that is great right off the truck is the partagaas d. 4. I split a box of these over the summer and they have all been great, with lots of smoke and awesome taste.

Surprisingly, the '04 crop of Montecristos #4 and #2 have been great too - this is somewhat unusual especially for MC2, which tend to take a year or two to be smokeable. And I bet they will be even better in a year or two.

This really makes me wonder if the Cubans are pushing the fermentation of their tobacco in some way, and if there will be any long-term complications.
