The size of this cigar the give away. Initial appearance of the cigar is that of smooth leather brown wrapper. Inspecting the foot reveals a somewhat tight bunch. My thoughts turned to a plugged cigar but my expectations were somwhat alleviated when clipping the head. Although the bunch was full at the head, it still drew enough to pass as a decent smoke.
The first third is rather potent with lots of wood and toasted tobacco. Rather straightforward with the best and most interesting flavors being in the first inch and subsiding just as quickly back to wood and leather. There's still a rough and raw component to this smoke as if it's still trying to seek refinement.
The second third still has the woody toasted tobacco as its primary core however, there's a slight creaminess that's weaving in and out. Smoking this little beast slowly seems to draw the best response. The smoke coats the palate and the aroma is very pleasant. The gray, mottled ash is somehwat flaky but it holds on for a good two inches. The burn ring started out a bit rough but evens out and the beginnings of a tunnel starts to form. This soon corrects itself. After studying the ash a bit coupled with the overpacked tobacco, I'm beginning to think this cigar hails from '01.
The final third is more of the same except the creaminess dissipates and cedar sets in. Strength builds to a crescendo and is on the fuller side of medium. While not the most complex cigar it is still a good cigar. Paired this cigar with some fresh roasted Arabica coffee made it an enjoyable experience overall.
As I mentioned previously, the size was a dead giveaway. The woody and creamy profile was a dead giveaway. My guess would be a Hoyo de Depute from '01.

Nice looking cigar, feels very hard but upon clipping the draw feels fine.
The cigar starts woody and leathery with a slight sweetness. It remains this way for the first half. The draw is average the ash hangs on for well over an inch and the burn is good.
The second half starts a little creamier but wood is the main flavor. Earth and leather with a coffee undertone start the final third. The cigar was not the most complex but was good and I did enjoy it.
I did think Party Short before I lit this cigar but it had no spicy Party flavor. I rate it a 84 and guess HdM De Depute.

Nice looking little smoke. Cut well but the predraw was tough.
Took a bit to get it lit. Might have been a little too wet (my fault). Burned eratically and was tough to draw throughout the stick. Tastes were grassy and peppery. No real changes noticeable.
Really had a hard time with the draw and wish I had a poker to ease it up, but not. Had to set it down at about 2/3. Was getting dizzy from trying to draw it in.
I put this at about a 64/100.
I believe this was the HdM Depute.
