I have some good connections and I have a very hard time knowing what comes from where but it seems alot of people here seem to know more then me so pls do share, they change the factory codes because they dont want people to know what comes out from where.
I would be most intrested to know what system is used. I mean a factory code from same year can be 4-5 diffrent factorys.

Lre feb 08. (example)
Everything that came from this month and that factory. Theyre not saying a "certain" factory. Just the boxes of certain months/years and the code associated with them as great boxes.

Mhm, because I saw posts saying that boxes from TEB and LRE was good in general not if made in a certain month and/year. As I understand it it does not matter if the boxes have same box codes. The changing of codes are noy bound to the first-last of each month meaning they could be from 2 different factorys with same boxcodes.

Now I am really confused :dunno:

I get why they dont have one code for one factory, otherwise the other factories would suffer in regards to those boxes being bought. But, if they do indeed switch the codes to indicate a certain factory frequently, how does one track the factory of there choice? It seems almost impossible.

Is there a resource to see what factory has which code delineated?

Most of the sticks Ive been buying are coming from 08 and 09', thats all I know about them.

You either have to know people who is in the buisness or someone working in the factory or visiting that can say what is beeing made where.

Why don't we get our Canadian/Cuban expert here to comment. Alot of rhetoric being thrown around maybe he can chime in. My feelings are still that many follow the " If it has this factory code/ month/ year and many agree they try to find boxes w that stamp while looking to purchase. I not debating they change codes often (quaterly). But IMO there is still a way for some to get close to finding good coded boxes even with the switching. And Ben did you clear your throat at me?

Yes there are people out there who know this stuff. I am not one of them or do I want to be. I lays my money down and takes my chances.
For me it just isn't that important. Cuban cigars are not my life, just a nice diversion occasionally.

+1 here...this is more for my own personal knowledge. I research what years were good and roll the dice. If they turn out duds, its not the end of the world.
